The Followers of Horus was an Egyptian alliance before and during the religious civil war of 2686 BCE consisting of Khasekhem's separatists, who believed that Horus should be the royal patron of the pharaoh. It was established following Seth-Peribsen's death and the rise of Sekhemib-Perenmaat as a second pharaoh. The alliance eventually engaged in open warfare with the Followers of Set, where it was ultimately victorious. Following the civil war and Khasekhemwy's ascension to the throne, the alliance was dissolved as soon as Egypt was re-unified.
