Narmer's expedition to Canaan was a hypothetical conflict between Early Dynastic Egypt under the reign of Narmer, and the Canaanites. Possibly taking place at some point after the unification of Egypt, the exact nature of this expedition is unknown, and the very existence of it is debated. Narmer's serekh has been identified at nine different sites in what used to be Canaan, implying that Narmer once visited Canaan, although whether by military invasion or by way of trade cannot be determined. However, the presence of an Egyptian army fort at Tel es-Sakan indicates at least some form of military presence.
