Tamba is a province in Shogun: Total War. Located in the southern-central region of Honshu in the northern Kansai region, Tamba is a province of moderate economic value, covered in highlands that make it easily defensible but with little land for farms, making it financially unsuitable for agricultural development. In the Sengoku Jidai campaign, it is controlled by the Oda, by the Rebels and Ronin in the 1530, 1550 and 1580 campaigns, and in the Mongol Invasion campaign it is controlled by the Hojo. The province is landlocked, so ports cannot be built there. Castles built in this province will be called Yagami Castle.
Historically, Tamba is a representation of Tanba Province. Today it is part of the Kyoto prefecture.
