Shimōsa Province

Shimosa is a province in Shogun: Total War. Located in the central region of Honshu in the southeastern Kantō region, Shimosa is a province of high economic value, being covered in lowlands and possessing vast, rich soil for farming, including a river that runs through it that allows access to easily defensible crossing points. In the Sengoku Jidai, 1550 and 1580 campaigns it is controlled by the Hojo, by the Rebels and Ronin in the 1530 campaign, and in the Mongol Invasion campaign it is controlled by the Hojo again. The province is along a coastline, making it possible to build a port. Castles built in this province will be called Konodai Castle. It is the faction capital of the Hojo in the Sengoku Jidai and 1580 campaigns.

Historically, Shimosa is a representation of Shimōsa Province. Today it is part of the Chiba and Ibaraki prefectures.
