Owari Province

Owari is a province in Shogun: Total War. Located in the central region of Honshu in the southwestern Chūbu region, Owari is a province of very high economic value, being covered in lowlands and possessing vast, rich soil for farming, including a river that runs through it that allows access to easily defensible crossing points. The province features a castle (called Inuyama Castle) due to it being a factional capital, and Yari Ashigaru recruited in the province will have higher honor than units of its type recruited elsewhere. In the Sengoku Jidai, 1530, 1550 and 1580 campaigns, it is controlled by the Oda, and in the Mongol Invasion campaign it is controlled by the Hojo. The province is along a coastline, making it possible to build a port. It is the faction capital of the Oda in the Sengoku Jidai, 1530, 1550 and 1580 campaigns.

Historically, Owari is a representation of Owari Province. Today it is part of the Aichi prefecture.
