Omi is a province in Shogun: Total War. Located in the southern-central region of Honshu in the central Kansai region, Omi is a province of moderate economic value, being covered in lowlands and possessing vast, rich soil for farming, although this makes it much harder to defend: the province also possesses natural iron sand deposits, therefore making it an excellent site to build an armoury. In the Sengoku Jidai and 1580 campaigns, it is controlled by the Oda, by the Rebels and Ronin in the 1530 and 1550 campaigns, and in the Mongol Invasion campaign it is controlled by the Hojo. The province is landlocked, so ports cannot be built there. Castles built in this province will be called Hikone Castle.
Historically, Omi is a representation of Ōmi Province. Today it is part of the Shiga prefecture.
