Mutsu Province

Mutsu is a province in Shogun: Total War. Located in the northern region of Honshu in the eastern Tōhoku region, Dewa is a province of very high economic value, and despite being covered in highlands, it has many fertile valleys filled with rich lands, giving it a high potential for farmland. In the Sengoku Jidai and 1550 campaigns it is controlled by the Uesugi, by the Rebels and Ronin in the 1530 and 1580 campaigns, and in the Mongol Invasion campaign it is controlled by the Rebels and Ronin as well. The province is along a coastline, making it possible to build a port. Castles built in this province will be called Sendai Castle. It is the faction capital of the Uesugi in the Sengoku Jidai campaign.

Historically, Dewa is a representation of Dewa Province. Today it is part of the Fukushima, Miyagi, Iwate, Aomori and Akita prefectures.
