Musashi is a province in Shogun: Total War. Located in the central region of Honshu in the western Kantō region, Musashi is a province of very high economic value, being covered in lowlands and possessing vast, rich soil for farming, including a river that runs through it that allows access to easily defensible crossing points. In the Sengoku Jidai, 1550 and 1580 campaigns, it is controlled by the Hojo, by the Uesugi in the 1530 campaign, and in the Mongol Invasion campaign it is controlled by the Hojo. The province is landlocked, so ports cannot be built there. Castles built in this province will be called Edo Castle.
Historically, Musashi is a representation of Musashi Province. Today it is part of the Tokyo Metropolis, Saitama prefecture and the Kanagawa prefecture. It is also the location of the modern-day capital of Japan, Tokyo.
