Mimasaka Province

Mimasaka is a province in Shogun: Total War. Located on the extreme western end of Honshu in the southeastern Chūgoku region, Mimasaka is a province of minimal economic value, covered in highlands that make it easily defensible but with little land for farms, making it financially unsuitable for agricultural development: the province however does possess natural iron sand deposits, therefore making it an excellent site to build an armoury. In the Sengoku Jidai and 1580 campaigns it is controlled by the Mori, by the Rebels and Ronin in the 1530 and 1550 campaigns, and in the Mongol Invasion campaign it is controlled by the Hojo. The province is landlocked, so ports cannot be built there. It is the faction capital of the Mori in the Sengoku Jidai campaign. Castles built in this province will be called Tsuyama Castle.

Historically, Mimasaka is a representation of Mimasaka Province. Today it is part of the Okayama prefecture.
