Kaga Province

Kaga is a province in Shogun: Total War. Located in the central region of Honshu in the northwestern Chūbu region, Kaga is a province of moderate economic value, covered in highlands that make it easily defensible but with little land for farms, making it financially unsuitable for agricultural development: Warrior Monks however can be recruited in Kaga with higher honor than units of its type recruited elsewhere. In the Sengoku Jidai, 1530 and 1550 campaigns it is controlled by the Rebels and Ronin, by the Uesugi in the 1580 campaign, and in the Mongol Invasion campaign it is controlled by the Hojo. The province is along a coastline, making it possible to build a port. Castles built in this province will be called Kanazawa Castle.

Historically, Kaga is a representation of Kaga Province. Today it is part of the Ishikawa prefecture.
