Izu is a province in Shogun: Total War. Located in the central region of Honshu in the southern Chūbu region, Izu is a province of very poor economic value, but despite being covered in lowlands, the soil is poor and agricultural output is not very high, limiting its potential for farmland. In the Sengoku Jidai campaign it is controlled by the Takeda, by the Rebels and Ronin in the 1530 campaign, by the Hojo in the 1550 and 1580 campaigns, and in the Mongol Invasion campaign it is controlled by the Hojo as well. The province is along a coastline, making it possible to build a port. Castles built in this province will be called Shimoda Castle.
Historically, Izu is a representation of Izu Province. Today it is part of the Shizuoka prefecture.
