Iga is a province in Shogun: Total War. Located in the southern-central region of Honshu in the central Kansai region, Iga is a province of minimal economic value, covered in highlands that make it easily defensible but with little land for farms, making it financially unsuitable for agricultural development: Ninjas however can be recruited in Iga with higher honor than other agents of its type anywhere else, and the province also possesses natural iron sand deposits, therefore making it an excellent site to build an armoury. In the Sengoku Jidai and 1580 campaigns, it is controlled by the Oda, by the Rebels and Ronin in the 1530 and 1550 campaigns, and in the Mongol Invasion campaign it is controlled by the Hojo. The province is landlocked, so ports cannot be built there. Castles built in this province will be called Iga-Ueno Castle.
Historically, Iga is a representation of Iga Province. Today it is part of the Mie prefecture.
