Hitachi is a province in Shogun: Total War. Located in the central region of Honshu in the eastern Kantō region, Hitachi is a province of very high economic value, being covered in lowlands and possessing vast, rich soil for farming, although this makes it much harder to defend: the province also possesses natural iron sand deposits, therefore making it an excellent site to build an armoury. In the Sengoku Jidai and 1550 campaigns it is controlled by the Hojo, by the Rebels and Ronin in the 1530 and 1580 campaigns, and in the Mongol Invasion campaign it is controlled by the Hojo again. The province is along a coastline, making it possible to build a port. Castles built in this province will be called Hitachi Castle.

Historically, Hitachi is a representation of Hitachi Province. Today it is part of the Ibaraki prefecture.
