Higo is a province in Shogun: Total War. Located in the west of the island of Kyushu, Higo is a province of minimal economic value, covered in highlands that make it easily defensible but with little land for farms, making it financially unsuitable for agricultural development. In the Sengoku Jidai and 1580 campaigns, it is controlled by the Shimazu, by the Rebels and Ronin in the 1530 and 1550 campaigns, and in the Mongol Invasion campaign it is controlled by the Hojo. The province is along a coastline, making it possible to build a port. Castles built in this province will be called Udo Castle.
Historically, Higo is a representation of Higo Province. Today it is part of the Kumamoto prefecture.
