Etchū Province

Etchu is a province in Shogun: Total War. Located in the central region of Honshu in the northern Chūbu region, Etchu is a province of moderate economic value, but despite being covered in lowlands, the soil is poor and agricultural output is not very high, limiting its potential for farmland. In the Sengoku Jidai, 1530 and 1550 campaigns it is controlled by the Rebels and Ronin, by the Uesugi in the 1580 campaign, and in the Mongol Invasion campaign it is controlled by the Hojo. The province is along a coastline, making it possible to build a port. Castles built in this province will be called Matsukara Castle.

Historically, Etchu is a representation of Etchū Province. Today it is part of the Toyama prefecture.
