Buzen is a province in Shogun: Total War. Located in the northeast of the island of Kyushu, Buzen is a province of moderate economic value, but despite being covered in lowlands, the soil is poor and agricultural output is not very high, limiting its potential for farmland. In the Sengoku Jidai and 1580 campaigns, it is controlled by the Shimazu, by the Rebels and Ronin in the 1530 and 1550 campaigns, and in the Mongol Invasion campaign it is controlled by the Hojo. The province is along a coastline, making it possible to build a port. Castles built in this province will be called Moji Castle.
Historically, Buzen is a representation of Buzen Province. Today it is part of the Ōita and Fukuoka prefectures.
