Bitchu is a province in Shogun: Total War. Located on the extreme western end of Honshu in the southeastern Chūgoku region, Bitchu is a province with strong economic value covered in lowlands that make it easily defensible, including a river running through it that create easily defensible crossing points. In the Sengoku Jidai, it is controlled by the Takeda, by the Rebels and Ronin in the 1530 and 1550 campaigns, by the Mori in the 1580 campaign, and in the Mongol Invasion campaign it is controlled by the Hojo. The province is along a coastline, making it possible to build a port. Castles built in this province will be called Takamatsu Castle.
Historically, Bitchu is a representation of Bitchū Province. Today it is part of the Okayama prefecture.
